Made in ArtRage 4 using ink pen and marker tools; 10x8" 300ppi. This is in response to a LotR fan community discussion of what you would call the combination of Dwarf+Hobbit or Dwarf+Man."How about a human and dwarf? - Harf or duman or maybe dwarman?
Halfling and dwarf? - Dafling or is this the true Harf?"
"Half hobbit half dwarf, I'm told, is a dwobbit!"
A joke was then created within the discussion:
"SO.... a harf, a dwarman and a dwobbit walk into a bar... the bar-dwelf says, "What'll you have?"..."
"Two Dafling Fizzes and a Duman Crush and make it snappy!"
"Wonder what these critters would look like."
And thus this illustration was conceived
