One of my favourite British dinosaurs, now in Amazing Technicolour! I couldn't get the idea of a grey heron (Ardea cinerea) inspired scheme out of my head, so I whipped this up in GIMP when I had some energy left in my free time (for once!) and wanted to relax a bit. Not exactly what I intended for my first deviation of 2017, but I wanted to post it anyway.

I don't like it when people just copy-paste the colours in their existing patterns, so here, for example, I made the orange colours on a heron's beak into a bright display over the typical Spinosaurid crest. Something that could possibly have said, "My crest is brighter than yours, therefore I'm in better condition than you and you don't want to fight me!" The dark stripe over the eye would also serve a purpose if this animal was looking for aquatic prey above the surface of the water, as it would reduce glare and help Baryonyxsee prey with those piercing yellow eyes.
