Description EDIT: After ~Lucain24 's colorfull critique, I decided to adjust the cat anatomy. Hopefully, it is better now

Adoption work for =glass-walker in the #fantasy-xchange group November/december exchange round.

This is Boo or Boogie or Boogie Boo (the Bombay cat) and Jonas (the Egyptian fruit bat) and those characters belong to =glass-walker .

My first drawing/painting with photoshop CS5

e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> This is nice, the environment, texture, style of art, and the characters themselves. Let's get started. The environments are beautiful, with the trees fading into the back and the snow atmosphere effects too. However I have no idea where the creature came form. I'd expected to see some footprints in the snow just to make some things stick out. The snow seems too perfect, but I'm not complaining. Now on to the animals, the bat is clueless and it's going to be eaten soon. The cat on the tree suffers big time on the anatomy of the creature. The fore legs are way to small, almost like a birth defect, and the hind legs are way too fat. (Actually it looks painful to sit like that e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="17" alt="" title="O_o"/>) I love the glowing eyes though, and the white face adds to the originality, and the rope's a cute touch as well. Overall this is beautiful, however the anatomy on the cat is awful, no offense... don't hate me O_o

Thank you for your critique!

About the cat, I think I should have defined the shoulder more. Here is the reference! [link] I am not that good with anatomy and that's why I request critiques! I appreciate your comments a lot (and no offense!)

Actually, the cat push the snow on the bat. They are friends.

I like this, I really, really do. It's an enigma to me, because to makes me thing of silent anticipation. The snow always provides such a hush, and the quiet way both animals are resting adds to it. And yet... the cat's eyes. They speak of something more... something waiting to strike, that perhaps it's not as innocent as the pose makes you think. It adds such a contrast not only to the mood, but also to the colour palette you used. Brilliantly done.

Thank you. It's always fun to play with other's characters. And the background is totally what I'm used to in Canada!

We do not get near that in our snow fall, although, this year had been unusually heavy. We had snow just the other day. It must be beautiful to see a landscape like that.

Oh wow, the trees in the background are absolutely gorgeous. I really like your clean, bold coloring style as well.

Thank you for completing the adoption, by the way! You've earned an extra credit point in the exchange: [link]

Oh my goodness this is so amazing! O_O
All the detail on that background, just wow!
Jonas is absolutely adorable, all huddled up like a bat trying to get away from the snow that Boo keeps throwing on him
The composition of this and the playful mood and just everything about it is absolutely adorable, I can't even express how much I really love it in words! Thank you!
