Night version:

I started this back in mid-late November, but once December rolled around I had to put it aside to work on Christmas gifts. It was really relaxing to start on it again. I think drawing things sleeping does that too me. C8

So this was original designed as a night time piece, and I'm going to post that tomorrow morning, but I wanted to post the day time version first for the following reason.

My first picture of January 2010 was of Nyack in a swamp. My new years resolution for 2010 was to improve on backgrounds. I didn't intend to have my first picture in January 2011 also be of Nyack in a swamp. But since it is, it's nice to look back and compare it to my old piece and look at how I have improved. Keep in mind, in this version Nyack is a young adult, and my old image he is a full adult.

NOTE: Since this is an image originally designed to be a night scene, the BG is a little more monochrome then I would normally like, but I didn't want to drastically change it from it's original version. This is just to show both how I've changed over a year and to show you some of the details that get lost in the night version. Thank you.
