Description Sarracenia purpurea

Pitcher plants are carnivorous, as an adaption to liveing in water saturated nutrient poor peat bogs. They lure insects in with a sweet smelling liquid and capture them in a little pool of digestive fluids. All to gain nitrogen that cannot be collected from the (lack of) soil.

Amazing :3 Great pictures! I can't wait to see more. And where is your poem "Return" did I miss it awhile ago?? I read it on your blog and I love it. I can vividly imagine small Whitney running around while big Whitney tries to remember it all.
