I can't afford to buy the precut strips, but I'm kinda glad I can't. There is a MASSIVE amount of gorgeous paper available through DA, check out [link] Huuuuuuuuuuge collection there, and lots of related groups too.
Usually I'll print my paper and photocopy it a bunch at school, but I design my own paper and love to take requests (wink wink) as well as finding them through DA. [link] that thread has a lot of my personal favorites. Don't be frightened by the 4chan link, its the good non-scary part of 4chan lol
Also if you want to print really HQ stars and have a few extra dollars to drop on niiiice paper, get 27 lb paper instead of 22 lb. the lb being the paper density... but now i'm rambling about crazy ocd specifics. I'll show myself out.
lol hope your folding is fabulous ;D

This is great help! Thank you!
I have been making paper stars for a couple months now and some would turn out great while others would be a little... weird looking. I will have to try some of these tips out next time I am making them.

Ahahaha, Oh I remember trying to deduce the differences between the wonkers and the beautiful stars. I hope I might be able to save a couple from eternal wonkiness :3 Thanks :]

this is a good tutorial with methods i never thought of, wonderful job! i also find that using the blunt end of an exacto-knife does a good job popping the edges and is easy to control c:

damn. i wanna start folding these now. i wasn't aware that they could actually look, well... like stars. i've never seen anything but ones that look like pointy bubbles. beautiful nails by the way.

i thoroughly appreciated all of that.
we should plan a good day for it... and document it, and send it in to the history channel.
also- i'm kind of rocking the whole deadbeat artist shtick right now with my not having a job and whatnot, so my days are relatively free.

sorta. i need to do some serious work in the next little while to get my application in to this animation studio i want to work at... but yeah, i'm free most of the time during the day.
