At first, I was embarrassed about doing this but then I saw a picture of Jason dressed as Aladdin and I thought, why not? I picked Jasmine for Roxanne because they do share some similarities. For one thing, she falls in love with a roguish charmer, though, technically, Jason would be the uptown guy in this relationship because of him being Bruce Wayne's ward. Roxanne can also be headstrong and temperamental, such as getting angry with Jason when she feels he's out of line. She can also get angry about his life as Robin being a bigger priority than her and worried that Jason won't come back to her alive. Though she can see when she's being selfish and does admire the good Jason does as Robin but, at the same time, feels that Jason doesn't need Robin to be special. Jasmine also gets angry at Aladdin but can find it in her heart to forgive him and she sees that Aladdin doesn't need to be a prince to win her heart. When Jafar lies to Jasmine about beheading Aladdin, she's understandably upset and even threatens to get rid of him when she comes into power. Roxanne's upset at Bruce when he tells her Jason died but lies to her by saying that Jason didn't suffer. When The Joker revealed the truth, Roxanne is angry, loses control and makes a ton of death threats at him while being dragged away by the police. The Joker continues aggravating Roxanne by reminding her of all the lives he took the last time he escaped and how Batman couldn't get there in time to save them, just like Batman couldn't save Jason. Which is not helped when other inmates of Arkham Asylum do the same with Batman bringing them back but not saving everyone in Gotham. Needless to say, if Batman's inability to save Jason didn't make Roxanne lose her faith in him, The Joker's comments did. Except Jafar lusted after Jasmine while The Joker's far more interested in getting into Roxanne's head than he is in getting into her pants. Due to Roxanne creating the alter-ego of Shadow, The Joker succeeds in his goal. I do plan on having The Joker strongly hint that he's sexually attracted to Roxanne when he has Jason captive in Arkham Knight, but that was far more about breaking Jason than it was about being interested in Roxanne. The only character The Joker was ever interested in seducing is Harley Quinn and I'm keeping it that way. So, I guess you can say that Roxanne's a darker take on Jasmine while Jason's a darker take on Aladdin.
