Description
The Snake Empress
(The Empress of Nine Snakes)
1.) No one knows her true name, or if she even had one, but she was lovingly and respectfully called, "Chiyoko" (知余子) by her husband. This is also the only name her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren knew her by. The name means, "One with a surplus of wisdom". Morihei called her this because of her unusually vast medical and worldly knowledge.
2.) Although she did have her image painted and drawn several times, by the request of her husband, those images of her appearance have been long lost to time. She was said to have striking, almost hypnotizing golden-amber eyes with vertical slit pupils, venomous double fangs, fair near pale unblemished skin and dark green hued hair, the length of which was said to vary between knee and hip length. Unconfirmed rumors from past enemies have stated that she had a black forked tongue, but this has never been confirmed by anyone with firsthand knowledge.
3.) While she believed strongly in peace and healing, she was an incredibly fearsome and merciless opponent. However, even when dealing with enemies she always tried to deliver quick and merciful deaths.
4.) She personally taught her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren everything she knew about medicine, specifically venom and poison. She also taught them how to defend themselves using her unique type of Ninjutsu and how to summon snakes. The one thing she never taught her descendants was how to speak to snakes in their own language. This was the only knowledge she ever kept to herself.
5.) The impressive title of "Empress of Nine Snakes" was given to her by her enemies during the war-torn Founders Era. She was very proud of this epithet, as it allowed her reputation of power and elegance to precede her.
6.) She outlived her husband, her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren before she mysteriously disappeared the night her first great great grandchild was born. She was never seen or heard from again. When she disappeared the beautiful, youthful appearance she'd had the day she first met her husband, Morihei, had not changed.
