I used to have this tutorial posted on my dA, but somehow it got lost or removed, so I'm reposting it.This is just a signature on how to make grungy sig in PS, but I assume you can do this in GIMP too.
This is old... I am reposting it, so no critiques please.

Um, I know the programs that make them are a little complex. I've never made them, I just use the free ones that websites have to offer.

It is CRAZY the vast amount of programs, software, and art forms that are out there. It's intimidating, and ridiculously hard to keep up with! But, thank goodness for deviant art, and the internet.
