I got Jesse to start playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door a few weeks ago (I love it; it's one of my favorite games) and I've been watching him play it a lot and those hearts inside the healing blocks are really cute.Creating the frames was difficult. XP I hope it doesn't look too off.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever get around to that.
To sum it up, though, I basically drew the heart the 'normal' way (straight up) for one frame, then rotated it 90 degrees for another frame. For every frame in between, I sketched it with my pencil tool, then cleaned up the outline. I think that I put three or four frames between the two 'easy' frames. I then duplicated and flipped each of those layers so that it would rock the other way... and then I took all of those existing frames and copied them in the opposite order, to create the rocking back (and thus completing the animation).
The glittering itself is really easy. For each frame, randomly dot white around the area you want to glitter. Just make sure that the glitters aren't touching each other at all, even diagonally. Do this for each frame, to make it random.

I think I'm going to practice the animation with some tiny hearts first to make it easier on myself. lol
I could try for the rest of my life and it still wouldn't be as good as yours though.

They're so awesome. :3 I've never gotten around to beating the final boss in The Thousand Year Door, though! idk why, but I stop after the last or second-to-last star. XD I want to go after the boss now, but I have to cook a bunch of healing items first and I just don't feeel like iiiiittt. /whines
