Fairy rule of found objects
1) any unattended found object that is not nailed down belongs to the fairy who found it first.
2) and unattended found object that is nailed down, belongs to the fairy with a claw hammer who found it first.

The sheer exuberance in this is such a lovely showcase for her personality. That loop of tape for the rodeo handgrip's a good thought on her part!

Okay, this is brilliant in its imagination. I also like the job you did on the RTD--very clean lines.
I momentarily forgot that I had portrayed Mel into a Bellneck in a previous drawing, and that would afford her certain privileges.
At least until Nomoko commandeers her to siphon off her magical energies.
Actually, now that I think about it, this drawing could be a prequel to this one! (Or at the very least, give me an incentive to finish it.

I wound up doing the RTD with the pen tool, since it was such a close up of a mechanical piece that I wanted it to seem perfectly smooth. Also, nobody really does any justice to our design of it, and I wanted to showcase it a bit more.
I didn't do this with any sort of thought to canon events, but since Melanie was currently sidekicked with Honey and Shelley at the current time, I thought it'd be fun to do think about this being one of those times where she's being playful with the equipment that Honey has on hand. It'd explain why she was allowed to run amok, much to the chagrin of the elder ginger.

Oh I can soooo see this happening. Actually by the picture it did happen. Should bring Mel by Ishy's workshop/drafting area at Boeing. We could so change a tape buddy into a small fairy sized air car that she can zoom around driving it a lot easier then surfing, and this way she can target others with the tape air-car.
Though with said new design, I can see Mel geeking out with a star wars pilots helmet flying around peoples legs and trying to topple them like they are AT-AT's

I'm not sure which would be more amusing. The RTD flying in circles as it attempts to corral the tiny woman riding on it,
or the various Synthetic Sentiences standing around processing

Hell if I know. I assume she just reached in and pulled out a strip. The RTD tape is liquid before it hits air, so it's more stretching it out than rolling it out.
