Day 2 and she is eating ok, she hates her cone though and tries to back out of it, paw it off and generally sits with her head down looking mopy. She also lays down with her wound on the floor, i really dont want floor crud in it ;_; she's off to the vets again tomorrow for a routine check up after the operation. She also hasnt got that she is restricted by the cone, in the ways of walking and knocking it into doors, walls and also she attempted to climb onto a windowsill, a really black cat awkward way too and when she got up on her front paws she lunged her head forward and fell backwards on to the trunk [plus a pile of clean clothes with sheet over. Scary and makes me feel so sorry for her, and then a little guilty for finding some of her movements funny orzshe also wants to lick herself especially after food, i took this with my blackberry [camera is rubbish] as she cant really do this she ends up moving as if she is licking a lim and just licking the cone, i got her mid lick XD
I promise ill stop samming bad photos of my cat now ;n; but i did promise a coned version of her C:

Yeah it was horrid friday night, she had her tail stuck on it where she lay down and the healing goo leaked on to it and dried, we had to cut off some fur on her tail to detatch it, i felt so bad, i didnt realise it was attached and when i wen t to move it gently she mewed a little :C poor thing but it is healing nicely aside from that :C

I knows D: when it burst, the wound was small but it grew because of her insesent licking, horrible, she still really wants at it but cannot and licks the cone. i wish we could communicate to her and get her t leave it be, and also tell her to stop laying on her open wound on the floor oTL

XD!!! Yeah i think she just wonders why she has it on and it totally messes her up poor thing, she is just sitting about looking mopey and sorry for herself because of the cone and that she cannot clean herself :C and yes thankyou! it was free! as a post op check up, they cleaned her wound with saliene solution and also gave her a injection of other antibiotics as she kept weeping and laying down on her open wound, its looking much better today, she is to go back again tomorrow which i think will also be free to make sure she is still doing well!

Aw sadly no, its very much too early for that, we went to the vets once again and she is on another weeks worth of tablets and is going back on wednesyday, but its looking better everyday, just it was a big wound and will take time t heal C;

Ok but if you have a dog you can just your dog lick the wound and it will heal faster and yes scientists have done research into this and have found that dog's mouths are cleaner than our mouths.

ahh yes! i have heard of that in some comments ive read of owners getting their dog to even lick their wounds and they healed faster Though dogs mouths have less bacteria in i still dont like the idea of having their saliva over me XD the drool THE DROOOLL!

Yeah I don't like the drool either and this is what I find strange about it is that dogs lick their butts and drink from the torlits and yet their mouths are cleaner than ours.

well as when we got her back after the op, she had this weird gel stuff in they put in the wound to help it heal and that oozed out and as she still [even now] tries to lick herself and her wound, her cone bashes on the wound oTL and the bandage soaked up some of this gel :c

hehe yes, however she wont help it at all, poor thing D: when i first saw the wound before she had a operation, it was about 1.5cm in diameter, she kept licking it and licking it and we had a vet appointment in 2 hours, she would not leave it alone and so i called up the vets 20 mins later and they said to come it right away, when i saw her wound at the vets it had pretty much doubled in size, if not more as she kept licking it and opening her wound even more D:

I've seen worse this one time I saw this stray cat out side our apartment that had this wound on his left or was it his right hind leg. And when I saw it, I just wanted to take him into our apartment for the night until we could get him to a vets office where he could receive the proper medical treatment for his wound and a safe place to stay as well.

I tried to tell my mom that we needed to take him to the vets in the morning but he didn't stay long enough for us to take him and in the morning we tried to find him but we didn't know where he went the night before. But I hope that someone did find him and took him to the vet and that he found a forever home to live in for the rest of his life.

Yeah, she is mostly annoyed with the cone, aside from when she lays on the floor with her wound [our hoover broke so we need to buy one payday so the carpets are a bit ..gritty... orz] but it does seem to annoy her to lay on it and she does twitch her leg and then move, she just goes back down on it again 5 mins later and repeats this pattern, i think she is uncomfortable and just doesnt know what to do with herself, as she kept laying on our cruddy carpet in the bedroom we moved her to the spare room the carpet is far less gritty and she has everything she needs in there including a nice wee bed C: and im keeping her there overnight as its a small room and nicely stays warm /rant <3
but yeah i cant help but chuckle and feel bad for her at the same time, especially when she just sits there wih her head down looking pissed off ;c

Maybe, eventually, sometime she'll figure out to not lie on it, poor thing. Must be such a drastic change for pets to have cones... I mean we don't really think of it because we know it's there for their own good, but they must have no idea what's going on with it.
