We've had G1 Optimus, Beast Wars Dinobot, Armada Starscream, Animated Prowl, and Now Prime's Breakdown and Dreadwing. When the next Transformers series comes here, we might expect some awesome character die. Call it a hunch.

Well, Dreadwing didn't know about Skyquake's fate earlier--and since Megatron states that Dreadwing can't punish Starscream for raising Skyquake as a Terrorcon zombie, Dreadwing's snapped.

Nope; in the Season 3 premire Screamer is alive and well, with Shockwave and the Predacons appearing--but no Dreadwing. Either he switched sides and/or died.
