Description
Once upon a time there was a great city, it was beautiful and prosperous.But one day a strange creature came to the city and spread fear and terror wherever it went.
The citizens cried for mercy and the monster told them
" Bring me gold and I shall spare you for one day."
They gave it gold and were spared for a day.
Of course, the next day they had to plead again for their lives.
" Bring me all the valuable items in the city and you shall be spared for a week." said the creature.
They did so and for one week they lived in peace.
When the week was out the leader of the city went to the cave where the monster lived, he asked " What do we have to do for you to let us be forever?"
It replied in a hissing voice
" I want the most beautiful of virgins."
The next day the leader brought his own child to the cave. "Here is your last bribe, as you requested. Now leave our city alone, you horrible human!"
" Fine, I will." Said the human girl and lead the young dragon away from it's father and into her cave.
The dragon city was finally free from her evil and in the cave the human lived happy with her beloved dragon on a bed of gold for ever after.

How did I miss that one (again!)? I really love it (event though it's an old one).. I really love how soft it is.. I can feel their connection.. Awesome job!! I also love the details of the gold coins coming forward to create a little bit of perspective.

Even before i read the artist's (your) comments, I thought that this is very fairytale-like. Althought... I'd say it's too beautiful for a story so sad

But the story doesn't have to be sad, I guess maybe for the dragons family, but the dragon himself looks pretty pleased. Maybe he has stockholm syndrome

I had a dream about receiving your letter. It contained a lot of strange things though.. O_O I cannot remember all of the details, ut I remember a pond popped out of the envelope and some strange snow fairies too! I don't know how you fit them in there!

I loved the sketch and the colors are so soft and warm.

The story was a joke, it was set in a dragon city and told from their point of view.
They saw the girl as a monster and the dragon prince was the virgin

It shows you that the dragon population can be threatened with impunity. I never would have thought that. Maybe they need to stock up on peanut butter and spread it on the humans' heads. That should stop their extortions very swiftly.
