Description NJ Transit F40PH-2CAT 4113 is the first engine from the first order of brand new locomotives NJ Transit took since the company was founded in 1983. Originally built as F40PH's, the units where rebuilt by Conrail in the early 1990's into F40Ph-2CAT's. They still run strong and have many years left to go.

The models I used to create this locomotive where found at: [link] and where created by Michael Eby.

Oh those fuckers. Those where ex-Amtrak units that NJ Transit leased. The units where painted in NJT Colors and where on the property for about a year. Never used in passenger service as they had no Head End Power units. All they did was take up space and leak oil. They could have been rebuilt, but NJ Transit already ordered 33 new PL42AC locomotives and didn't see a reason to do so.

I guess they will be scrapped with those colors as nobody else wants em.

Look closely at SLC 293 on the right. It says F40PH-2CAT under the cab window. WRONGGGG.
