I got to ask you if you don't mind is how did you pull off that effect in PS cause I've been wanting something similar like that for my own characters with a kinda washed out scratchy burnt look for the BG otherwise I really like the style in this 1 kinda like a old faerie tale or something

Not really understood about what effect you ask. (my english is terrible)
If about old paper, it's not effect.
I have taken in library some old books and has take a pictures.
After that I have stuck pieces of paper in Photoshop how do I liked.... and little has changed colours.
