My last artwork of 2021!(most likely)
A "mixed media", Surrealesque style painting that came about because in all honesty I overdid it on the underdrawing and didn't have the heart to cover her in paint. But in my opinion that benefitted the final work and possibly my overall journey as an artist. I really like the look of my pencil illustration enhanced by paint. I've been focused on pencil illustration for over 20 years and have only recently decided to focus more on painting. I wouldn't say this is how I want all my artworks to be from now on but I definitely feel more comfortable creating an artwork this way.
This is a very satisfying way to finish my artworks for 2021!
