a fabulous abstract...the simplistic beauty of clean lines. the texture is also lovely. and the composition is wonderful, what with the lines coming from the corner and all...very nice!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

sundreaming In reply to tiffany [2006-02-13 17:26:27 +0000 UTC]

yes... that's what I wanted, a motive starting from the angles, like suggesting a beginning and an end -but outside the composition itself. and this is one of those cases when post-processing brings 'out' the real essence of a subject -in this case the corrosion, centuries of 'salt'. venice is all like that.

thanks a lot

ilsilenzio [2006-02-13 12:56:15 +0000 UTC]

sundreaming In reply to ilsilenzio [2006-02-13 17:36:52 +0000 UTC]

Excellent B&W treatment - jumps off the screen, especially when viewed large.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

sundreaming In reply to Valimar [2006-02-11 17:53:54 +0000 UTC]

thanks a lot you're right about that -in this case the miniatures, even the middle-sized one, don't show the texture as 'sharply' as the full version. I added to the comment the 'full view recommended' after I saw the preview on the main page...
