I like the expression and the composition. The only thing that worries me is the background which seems to be kinda watermarked/something

yes... I wanted this one to be totally 'invented' so I wouldn't have liked to see the beach and the background... it ended up looking like faded wallpaper, or a semi-psychedelic texture. an experiment but I like it -won't put it in my portfolio but it's one of those personal favs

Unsure what to say of this picture,as I both like it, and not so sure if do do. I love the duotones, that contrast and how the dark corners "frames" the action. It's a powerful picture, and I get admiration of the two. Just not sure of the tree. It's good, because it makes the "sticks" look brighter. If the tree would not be there, they'd be black - 'cause thesun is behind. But at the same time, the tree is placed in the middle,and "divides" the image. But the two and the three creates a wonderful balance, a symerty. So -its both good and bad. A quite interesting image, much to talk about in it.

well I 'wanted' that tree in the middle for the reasons you said -like a 'frame' for the sun, an emphasys to the 'swords' and such. this is one of those 'like it or hate pieces' I guess
