Growing up, Sapphire Light didn't have much friends. With his monotonous personality and blunt behavior, most fillies/foals found him to be a bore while he would always stick his nose in books. Seeing this for the first time, it made Sapphire feel rather awful for a while. Rarity notices that he's been rather quiet .. even for him and naturally like any most mother's would do, sit Sapphire down for a talk. After letting out everything about how it's no wonder he doesn't have any friends when he's a huge stick in the mud. Rarity objects to this nonsense. Even she had her concerns that Sapphire wasn't as extroverted or out-going as other children, she didn't force him right away to make his own friendships. Instead, she gives him encouragement that in time he will make wonderful friends whenever he's ready. In the end, Sapphire's just so happy he has a wonderful mama to go to.Rarity (c) Hasbro
