Her stand, Nine Inch Nails, activates when she ingests the blood of another living thing; she can control her target for a limited amount of time and within a limited radius of movement, and it's further hindered depending on the type of blood ingested. AB is the most volatile blood type for her to control, giving Loredana a huge advantage in their fight.

She is pansexual.

She is a physically affectionate person and responds well when someone praises her (especially Prosciutto, Emilia, or Risotto).

She collects knives and calls them her "pets"; her favorite dagger is strapped to her thigh at all times.

She names all of her knives. The one on her thigh is named Mortadella.

She used to be a prostitute but began killing her clients and robbing them once she manifested her stand for the first time. The chain of murders caught Diavolo's attention, but what made him interested in her was the fact that she evaded the police so well. He ordered La Squadra to investigate, and Risotto sent Prosciutto and Emilia to find her. She fought them and found them "interesting" since she couldn't defeat them.

They took her to Risotto, who knew she was strong when he noticed Emilia and Prosciutto had been hurt in the fight as well.

Risotto lets her join the team, but she is locked up so she doesn't hurt anyone and "on probation" until they trust her. He quickly regrets this decision when she tries to get Emilia to spoon-feed her, and so began their long friendly(?) rivalry over Emilia's affection.

While locked up, Prosciutto noticed that Melagrana had bruises and scars from before their fight and realized she was likely abused as a prostitute. She confirms this to him by revealing she doesn't like thinking about the circumstances that led up to her getting her stand on that night. The only other person that overheard this was Emilia.

Melagrana wants to fight Risotto for fun, but no one will let her (especially Emilia).

She frequently babies Pesci and Ghiaccio and is good friends with Illuso and Formaggio.

She eventually enters a polyamorous relationship with Prosciutto, Emilia, and Risotto. They were only able to make it official in an AU called the Italian Happiness AU 2.0., where Melagrana is able to have a daughter with Prosciutto and Emilia has twins with Risotto.
