This is a birthday gift for my lover ausisy [link] .The project will stop in the end of October because her birthday is 1st November.

Hello, Sunset. After you molded the polymer, what did you "spray". Is it something you are able to polish so you get that old metal likeness (from the parts one is not able to polish?)

No I just sprayed oil paint. I think I did it wrong because the oil paint had some chemical reaction with the polymer clay, they kept wet, I don't know why. I guess I should have cover the polymer clay with a putty layer first.
And for the old metal likeness, it's easy, cover a layer of black paint, then spray a thin layer of silver paint from far distance before the black dry. At last, stroke the pattern with thick silver paint.

Thanks for your answer! Yes, most of times, polymer goes bad with anything that has carbon-hidrogen (oils, solvents...). Iยดve heard Fimo can take varnish - after the proper annealying (oven). Sorry, my English is from metal-physics and not from ceramic nor polymer. Yet, it is a real gorgeous piece of work, congrats!
