Katou was born to Clementine and Hail, alongside her sister Artemis. They lived in a small cave for the first few moons that they were born, unknown where exactly. Hail would leave during the day, and return by dusk with prey for the family to eat, whilst Clementine would teach her two daughters of the outside world and how to be safe when alone. Both girls thought it wasn't necessary to learn these things, but they would listen anyways. Katou was always more aggressive and sarcastic, whilst Artemis took the quiet but persuasive persona. Clementine secretly worried for her kits, knowing that the way their personalities were, they were bound to get themselves into trouble one day.

[Mid-Life]

When Katou reached 8 moons, Clementine and Hail brought their now large enough daughters out of the caves. And it was the greatest thing that either of them had ever gotten to do- the outside world looked full of possibilities and hopeful. Now that they were older, Hail convinced his mate to take Katou out and teach her to hunt alongside him, whilst Artemis could stay near the den and learn more about herbs and how to heal. The older she-cat always had a closer relationship with her father than anyone, so she was even more thrilled to learn of their soon-to-be daily activities. It didn't take long for the white she-cat to learn the skills necessary for hunting, but she was extremely terrible at it. Hail often grew concerned when he'd find her half in a bush after she failed to catch a mouse, and knew that one day if they went on their own, they'd struggle frequently with being fed.

[Adult]

Katou learned very quickly that her skills were not in hunting, but with fighting. Hail didn't teach her very much, but it would be enough to defend herself and escape if necessary. The she-cat enjoyed fighting more than anything; wrestling with anything that proved to be a worthy opponent. The small family of four thought that their lives were set to be in the cave forever, but that was only the beginning. During some heavy rains, the family were resting inside when a cougar appeared in the cave. Running for cover, Clementine fled with Katou and Artemis whilst Hail provided a distraction. Knowing he wasn't making it out of there alive, Katou tried to go back and help him, but it was no use with two others pushing her forwards down the mountain side.

After that, Katou grew colder towards her remaining family, and decided that maybe it would be best to part ways and see what was out there in the world- she wasn't meant to be stuffed in a cave all her life. And without giving her mother or sister time to argue, she vanished into the unknown forest. Days passed, and with constant traveling, Katou thought she was making good process, but the wide-spread woods secretly terrified her. Though it wasn't long before Artemis showed up, and at first the older sibling thought she was here to drag her back. But it was thankfully a different story, when the second white she-cat mentioned she was joining Katou on their journey to a new home.

[Deputy]

Katou literally stumbled upon Falcon when she was walking; profusely apologizing to the sleeping cat that she didn't mean to step on her. And thankfully the huge she-cat didn't break her into a million pieces, and instead was curious of where they were going. Informing the large tabby that they were just wandering homeless, Falcon offered the two a place with her in this 'clan'. Katou was obviously interested, but Artemis seemed hesitant to accompany this stranger. The older sister surprisingly defended the cat she'd stepped on, telling her family that this was most likely the change they'd been seeking. One argument lead to another, and Artemis parted ways with Katou- claiming to be returning to Clementine. Without fighting for her to stay, the white she-cat instead followed Falcon to her clan, where she got to meet the odd few other cats.

Learning of their rules and the way clans lived, Katou knew she couldn't sit around idly- claiming that she was good with fighting and could be a strong warrior to FalconClan. Her new leader tested this theory, but realized that the she-cat still had a lot to learn. Over moons they trained endlessly, and now Katou proves to be a mighty, loyal warrior to Falconstar and their clan; taking her place as one of the deputies and devoting her life to keep them safe.
