Impressive game!
Apart from the tank/population limit, there was nothing to prevent me from throwing in more cannon fodder (no money limit), once I figured out how this game was meant to work.

I eventually won, but only by taking the initiative and sending my tank to attack the base, since my troops were too busy engaging the enemy... which in it's turn also kept on coming!

I just thought of a (possibly) good idea. Maybe there could be some way you could order your units around. Not individually because that would be fairly difficult, but like choosing attack formations, or setting their play style such as aggressive, defensive, etc.

yeah, i put somthing of the sort in version... 0.3? but i didnt put it in the instuctions or anything because i hadnt really made it... "good"

if you hold down 'D' and click on a tank, it will go into defensive mode (not moving, just shooting)
and if you hold down click on a soldier and release outside somwhere it will walk there if its not engaged in battle.

i might make it so you can go inside our command center and give orders to your units and drive the camera around (more RTS style)

as for resolution i will see how it works with... 600x600, is that small enough for you?

for reloading, ive put auto reload for the rocket launcher but for the rest you have to reload yourself

btw do you know how much faster a flash game works as .exe? i think its 13% but im not sure

600x600 should be good for most browser playing I think. I dunno about it running faster as a projector but Ive heard it is somewhat faster, although it would bloat the file size for distribution

Nice updates, but I got a weird little blue guy trying to escape....[link] I couldnt chase after him It looks like he was running towards me when I died, and then he just kept on going.

As its been said, the resolution is a bit of a problem. I can't see it all in my browser window in this page, and if I view just the swf then it scales down to fit the window. I could use the standalone player, but not everyone can do that.

I don't particularly like having to reload myself, but thats just because I couldnt see how much ammo I had because I couldnt see all the game (again, a bad thing abvout the size of it). Maybe if you have it reload itself, but still take time to do it.

Sorry all that sounded fairly negative but I've already said how awesome it is, just trying to give my opinion on how it could be improved slightly.

Playing it again and watching the bars down the bottom, I realise it does reload by itself, so uh, disregard that part of my previous comment.

how about a money system so you can really buy units.. but don use dollers... think up your own money or somthing

For money, how about credits?

Weapon upgrades... maybe, im thinking about useing the engine to create a game where you have to fight of waves of enemies and vs bosses ect, with no AI units on your team. then ill put weapon customisation in and some other cool stuff

I just think it should be made a tad smaller. I've got a 1600x1200 screen, and I can't see the entire interface - the weapons/ammo/health, etc. bars are lost to me, if I want to see the entire battlefield.

you may have a 1600x1200 screen but is your resolution set at 1600x1200? the game is only 800x800 i can see it and im running 1280x1024

I'd still agree with =Ariades , it should be made smaller. My laptop no go above 1024x768, I have to press f11 which is one keypress too many D:
