Description On my windowsill
there sat, bathing in the autumn sun
a black cat. Eyes closed.

Serene magic.

Dreams of falling leaves
fluttering birds taking flight
all behind warm glass.

It's always fun to collab. Between the two of you, you captured felinity very well.

How lovely! And the words 'serene magic' go well with the fact that the cat is black. That contentment of a cat sleeping in the sun is well captured.

Thanks shelley. The first  sweet lines were written by weidenlied and the last part by me but that probably is noticable.

I actually did not know or feel for sure who had written what parts - but I would have thought possibly the first verse might have been you, you two must be well in tune. I loved the feeling of this.

No actually this is the first thing we ever did together. She wrote the first part  as a little thank you to me for faving her written work and I added the last part just as a continuation of the poem

How are you feeling , well I hope

Rather tired for some reason and not wanting to do much.  Would like to magic up someone to come in do the housework and other jobs that need doing and I can watch some nice films or read in front of the fire.  Just read a good book - Nigel Havers autobiography - couldn't put it down - he is such a funny man and had an eventful life.  Love to get stuck in to a good book but apart from reading bits of fiction on DA I only read non fiction books.   My remaining cats seemed to have adjusted to the loss of Oliver but then he had been ill for four months. It is easier to cope with three cats but next doors  young cat keeps coming in and she is a pest - a right little hostile thing yet thinks she has the right to come in and settle. Recently in the morning I woke up to find her in my bedroom on my chair with two of my other cats all staring at me as I surfaced with my usual muzzy morning head! I discourage her but she takes no notice and swipes if you try to stroke her.  Today she decided she likes us after all and settled down on my bed all morning (came in through window) and allowed a stroke.  I said to my son it is less easy to discourage her now she has become friendly, but I will not actively encourage her.  Three is enough for now.
Hope you are okay. Nice to feel the beginnings of Spring eh??

I was just saying that too , after I walk I went on, how awfully tired I felt, like my legs were made of lead. we´ve  have had one or two nice sunny days lately which has given the impression of spring but the weather is vey changeable and it´s now gone cold again with quite a bit of rain.
I also had a strange cat in the house, I am getting work done in the hall and was down stairs at my mother in laws house . The workmen had left the door open and got into their van to have their lunch, as I was going back in I heard a noise up stairs like a thud and then before I could go in  a neighbourhood cat came dashing past me and off she ran. They are terribly nosey aren´t they. Ha ha

Yes they are nosey and they do make me laugh. Socky, as we call the neighbour's cat went out eventually but of her own acccord - if you try to shoo her she just wont have it. My female cat slept in the wardrobe last night - I hadn't the heart to chuck her out and P2 and Tinker, the young ones, have a fight every morning - a playfight but it does get a bit aggressive.  Little Tinker the meek and mild one has a roar like a dinosaur as he runs from P2.  But they are friends really and Tinker often tries to lick P2's head, which he allows for a few minutes before it turns into another wrestling match!
Yes, weather a bit contrary and can't make up its mind which season to promote but it is getting milder and lighter which is good.
