Description
For the Heavens
could no longer wait.
So they sent a giant plane
to fly you off to paradise
and bring you to their gates.
I stood beside your dying bed
with the sound droning in my ears
I told you "It´s your flight my love
so you should show no fear.
For just as soon as it could be
I´d book a follow-on flight
then we´ll be together
this time Eternally."

Heartbreaking, yet beautiful. The thought of losing a loved one is so hard to grasp in in life, this analogy is touching. I'm very sorry for your loss. I too had to experience this a few years ago

Thank you so much : Yes I´m afraid it is. I have been writing my grief out of my soul since my husband died almost 6 years ago.The majority of my writing is of this nature and has helped me to cope with over whelming feelings of sadness.

Oh geez, so the plane analogy wasn't just an analogy. But in a way that makes the poem even more beautiful and sad.
Stay strong, the pain is overwhelming but he'll always be waiting for you when you take your plane trip back to his side
