It's that time again, a time to celebrate and enjoy the holiday seasons.

But for everyone its different. Whether its the joy of getting gifts, the stress of having more than one family member in one place, or it's an annoying pair of people that turn up at your door spreading the word in a brash attempt to convert you to this "holiday cheer".

What does it mean for me?

Being alive with the ones I care about.

Not too long ago, a work friend of my mum, named Karen, passed away in her sleep. This will be the first Christmas her family will spend without her. A short time later, my mum was offered the holiday break that was originally for Karen.

And so, I get to spend Christmas with my mum.

So I'd like to celebrate being grateful I get to spend another day with my family and friends and just be happy. It's not merely about Jesus, Santa or presents (which is a plus mind you).

It's just about being alive. So celebrate gosh-sarnit!
