Pt. 1 cause I wanna do another page of these later. bUT HEY LOOK AT THIS. My art motivation suddenly came back! I actually WANT to draw??? I haven't felt like this in years, it's great! To celebrate I decided to sketch out some headshots of some of my gijinkas that I'm using over in my private group with some pals. This def isn't all of them, but it's all I could do before the file started getting waaaay too big. There's quite a few familiar faces to those that have watched me for a while, and some that might not seem familiar initially cause they've been redesigned quite a bit. Honestly the only completely new character on here is 6. But enough rambling, I'll give a small snippet of who these all are and what they are.
1. Dagr the Electric/Dark Wishiwashi. I love Dagr a lot and he's kind of my main character in this group. He used to be Paethea's Zygarde but, like all the other legendaries, he lost all his power when the mortals rose against them and he turned to stone. He was found by Hannibal in the middle of the jungle and the two have been living together since then. He's almost always in his Solo Form. His Schooling Form is highly dangerous and he doesn't really have any control over himself when he's in it. He has the power to sense the electromagnetic field and can tamper with things like radio waves to an extent.
2. Tarazed the Psychic/Fairy Xurkitree. One of the many Ultra Beasts that have ended up stuck in Paethea. Tarazed is NOT happy to be here, but since he has no choice he's doing what he can to make the most of it. He's keeping his identity a secret so he doesn't attract attention. Though he pretends to act dumb and innocent, a few of his housemates are starting to see through this. His eyes are clocks, so he keeps them closed all the time. If you end up seeing them he'll basically give you the look I drew him in. Shhhh...Don't want anything bad to happen to you right?
3. Slips the Ground/Poison Serperior. The tiny Servine grew up and is now about to graduate high school! Slips is about the same as he was in previous groups: highly naive with a heart of gold. He lives with his adoptive father Xavier, but secretly is part of a gang known as the Lost Boys. He doesn't want Xavier to find out since it'd stress him out a lot. He also dabbles in smoking sometimes as Paethea has developed cigarettes that, while addictive, don't have a lot of nasty stuff in them so they're relatively safe. His Poison typing negates the addiction anyways.
4. Iota the Steel Pinsir. The former Genesect of Paethea. Iota was created by mortals as an "artificial" god to fight the actual ones. However he was eventually recruited by the legendaries to join their side. He spent most of his time with Elio, Akantha, and their daughter Rosa. When the gods all started to disappear, he remained with Akantha, who had lost her husband and daughter. As he was mechanical, all that remained of his body was his memory chip, which Akantha was able to find a new body for after she broke free of her petrification. The only construct body that she could find was rather run down, and most of Iota's data had been corrupted, but other than that he booted up fine and was ready to serve Akantha again. He's rather down to earth but takes his job as a steward very seriously. He's capable of mega evolution and gains the Flying typing in his alternate form.
5. Ginza the Psychic/Flying Sigilyph. A pure type gijinka that works as an independent archeologist. Though the government has spent over 500 years erasing the existence of the gods from history, Ginza has managed to find some hints that make him think such beings could've existed. Right now he's keeping such research quiet and instead presents other findings to universities in between expeditions. He's blind in his right eye, and it serves more as a psychic pumping organ, powering up his Psychic type moves to dizzying levels when he's in a pinch. When he's not working, he lives on the top floor of his friend Noboru's library.
6. Matsuya Takumi the Dark/Psychic Thievul (surname listed first). Ryouta's master. Takumi found the Flapple nearly dying and without any memories in an alley one night. Since nursing him back to health, he's allowed Ryouta to live with him until he can figure out where to go next in life. Takumi is rather humble, but definitely not soft spoken and likes to tease friends and disciples alike. He runs a small martial arts dojo. Though kind, Takumi does hide a dark secret...
7. Akantha the Dark/Grass Shiinotic. The former Lunala of Paethea. She arrived on the planet with her husband Elio by accident through an ultra wormhole. Though they weren't accepted at first, the two slowly began to make a life for themselves, even gaining legendary status in the process due to their power. She ended up losing everything though once the mortals rose up against them. After losing her husband and her daughter, she turned to stone heartbroken and alone, with only the memory chip of her friend Iota on her person. Since becoming mortal and losing her memories, she's slowly been adapting to the new society she's found herself in. Akantha is also a vampire and really only gains nutrition from blood. Thankfully she's got a lot stored in wine bottles in her home. Just don't go down into her hidden basement as it's a treacherous fungal garden of her own creation...
8. Sheryl the Water Accelgor. Sheryl is a member of the marines. With the government controlling everything though, the demand for an active military isn't high so she finds herself with a lot of spare time. Her time in the military has led to a lot of harassment over her gender and to cope, she's started trying to pass herself as more masculine. She's very much a lawful good person and will help anyone in need. Thanks to her water typing, she can basically waterbend and combined with her speed she's actually a very skilled fighter.
9. Douglas the Rock Mudsdale. Douglas is a halfling, specifically a satyr. His whole lower body is that of a horse unlike his upper body. Halflings never have been accepted well in society so the Mudsdale received a lot of bullying growing up. The only friend he's really had is Peter and thus he's stuck to him like glue. A little before graduating high school, the two of them made a small gang together known as the Lost Boys. It was meant to be a small group for people like them that never felt like they "fit in" with society. Douglas is very close to all their members and would do anything to protect them.
10. Hashimura Shinju (surname listed first) the Ice Steenee. Shinju is...Shinju. She's loud, dumb, and loves to impress; even though she almost always makes a fool of herself in the process. She works as a shrine maiden at Vauctin Grand Park along with several others. She finds work tedious, especially since she doesn't even know what the shrine is for other than some kind of historical monument. She has a habit of making it snow on people as a prank and exploring in the hillsides for treasure.
11. Gilbert the Ghost/Fire Alolan Muk. It's Gilbert, what do you expect? He's part of a gang known as the Black Hole Eclipse, and has been involved even before his death. Gilbert used to be a Dark/Fire type before dying violently in an explosion a rival gang set up. Though his friend Clarence was the target, Gilbert ended up the only casualty. The force and shock of it caused him to lose control of himself, devouring Clarence's arm before being snapped back to his senses. Or well...what senses he still has. His body is made of a tar-like substance that he can ignite at will. He's also kind of a cannibal, so the Eclipse use him for their body disposal.
