Doodled Elphie a good few years ago.Found the original, so scanned, uploaded and removed the white backround.

Elphie never got to get the shoes and stockings. That was Nessa. Otherwise, awesome.

I know that - I just thought it was a nice homage and that the red was a nice compliment to the green skin in terms of colouring.

I was somewhat disappointed how drastically different the musical is - pretty much ignores the entire political nature of the book, but love the musical nonetheless!
I love how in the book, originally the shoes were silver, like they were in the true original Wizard of Oz, and then GLinda enchanted them to allow Nessa to walk with balance with magic, causing them to glow red, like the MGM movie that also gave Elphaba her green skin and black apparel and broom (originally, in the book she was a short, blond witch with one eye that rode an umbrella).

Very interesting. I can see faint traces of what you've been doing recently even in your early work here! Some design aspects and such. :3 And it's distinctly your style to top it off.
Very interesting though, to see the growth between this and your newer stuff!
