Hmm, I wonder what Flynn's thinking... it's probably much simpler than his pondering expression tells us...Desperately trying to reduce the level of fail in my art. It didn't work, did it?
The shading actually looks both better and worse than what I expected... it's hard to describe. I'm trying to find other ways to draw Koopa legs, but I don't like how they look. They make Flynn here look way heavier than he really is. He's a total lightweight.
I'll be trying to practice more, it'll be a surprise fanart of a certain deviant that really deserves it.

Don't be so hard with yourself, this looks great! X3 I really like the way you did the shading here, somehow it goes perfectly with the way you draw, it's so fitting and it makes the pic look so good

Well, I still don't like the way the legs look (more of a style thing) but it is one of my better works. I'm kinda wondering what references you used to learn shading/lineart too...

Ohhh, I get it owo Well, I guess you just have to practice a little more and keep trying different ways of doing them until you find one you like :333 (I know everyone uses the practice thing, but it does wooork XD) And me? Ohhh, well, I always try new ways of shading and lineart... I usually take all the features I like and try to put them together in a way they actually combine o3o try looking for tutorials and random pics~

I really like it... even though I think I can spot what you mean. The left eye (the onefarthest away from the viewer) looks a littlel ike it's merely painted onto theface. I think you should try giving it more... 3D-ness, if this makes sense. Other than that, it looks fine. I love the shading.

Well I guess you're right. I was having way too much frustration with the eyes, so I did the right one, copied it and flipped it. Otherwise I likely would have been the one who is flipping.
