Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley, one of my my favoritest bands in the entire world. I haven't felt like drawing much lately, so vector was an acceptable substitute. Yes, it's drawing, but it requires little active imagining. At least, this one did. I like it, though - I may color it in the future, or add in the rest of the band.Illustrator CS.

stunning character study...the b+w works perfectly by forcing the eye to take in the whole image and not be distracted by color.

This is phenominal. I love the B&W approach. Rilo Kiley never quite sparked my interest, but this is a fine tribute.

She looks sort of '50s. Cool. I like that look. And I've never heard of Rilo Kiley. Maybe I'll go check them out. Our musical tastes sort of overlap a bit... well except for the Rufus. He sounds very nasal to me and that bugs. But hey, you should do more vector! I really like how you only outline the shadows, and the hair looks awesome.

She does look a big 50's, you're right. You should definitely check Rilo Kiley out - they're fabulous. I thought Rufus' voice was annoying the first time I heard him, but then I saw him live (opening for Tori, actually) and I was in loooove.

My cult of vector? The only reason I started in Illustrator was because I saw you using it. When I saw Tori, Howie Day opened for her. I felt kind of bad for him because people were walking around and talking while the poor kid was performing. I watched though. He was pretty good, I guess. What's with Tori picking cute young men to open for her?
