Description
My friend has a steampunk tea party every summer so I needed to work on new costumes. And because I have been slaving away on Star Trek costumes for my husband and his friend for a convention this summer I decided to mesh the two together.

The yokes is leftover poly poplin and the black is a cheaper cotton twill lining fabric since I couldn't afford to keep working with gabardine like the rest of my star trek pieces.

The jacket is trimmed with gold braiding and has gold button accents. The comm badge is sculpted out of fimo.

The jacket is a hybrid of two patterns and some liberal adjustments by myself.

And A Voyager jumpsuit pattern I had purchased from badwolfcostumes.com

I was inspired by a piece made by citizwnkaneV, it was very impressive and deserves credit for the design idea. Link to his gallery is included:
