This is a drawing a did of my friend Biggs with her old horse Darius, who ment the world to her when she was young. It's an old photo from when she was about 13 yrs old.40cm x 40cm, 2B, 4B, 5H, and mechanical pencil on MDF board painted white.

It's my friends old horse that she use to ride when she was a teen, it was her best mate

...forgot to say... Biggs is such a wonderful person! she deserves to be drawn, and i`m sure she has a lot of portraits of her drawn by her friends from the whole world! (i also drew her and the portrait was in its way from Russia to RSA almost 3 month(!) o_O...)

well, you know. Anything outside the head area is a challenge! Not that I cannot draw, but it's a challenge to have the patience to draw clothing, bodies, etc? ya know?
Hey, drew is on a plane to California to play at iTunes headquarters. He is in the "indy spotlight" on iTunes now, was the #1 singer/songwriter for almost 2 weeks there, and in about 2 weeks, his flash banner will be on the FRONT PAGE of iTunes (for 2 weeks)!! Also, he played for the president of Atlantic Records last week in New York, in the guy's office! Limo, wine & dine, etc. You mark my words, he will be HUGE very soon, then I can retire, join his entourage, and be in charge of fkn ice or something HA!!!

Cool! What a charming piece you have here. I like the composition with faded out background that does not draw attention away from the soul mates. You have a nice range of values here with plenty of contrast. It's a good piece of work!

Thanks so much for your beautiful compliment, I appreciate it. The photo I drew from was extremely worn so it took alot to get this one right, but she is a dear friend, and I quite enjoyed drawing the horse.
