Do you guys like Vinyl Scratch? I sure as heck do! She's my favorite background pony (along with Lyra, Octavia, and Ditzy... musicalness, and....other...). Anywho, here's a lil somethin I came up with. I REALLY like it. This is now my desktop lol. If you can't read what's on the side of the screen, try downloading it. If you still can't read it... I probably should have used a better font...Enjoy!!

Thanks! There are a few flaws that I wanna fix sometime(i.e re-draw). For instance... she needs a mouth XD. Eventually, I'm gonna do more of these, but I'm having a case of procrastination at the moment.

I know it may be a little too late to add my opinion on your great drawing, considering that it's April now.
But I have some things to say about how you could improve it:
If you're going to add a mouth, think simple. Hell, make it a line, I think it would still look good.
And also, I couldn't quite make out the font you were using, so if you do improve it, make sure to use a clearer, more readable font.
Overall, it's an amazing drawing! I hope my constructive criticism will be put to good use.

Wow, thank you! You don't know how nice it is to actually get comments... But yeah, I'm definitely gonna end up redoing this at some point. I've gotten better at the whole art thing since this (at least I hope I have lol). I'm gonna make the head smaller next time for sure... not sure whether or not I should expose her eyes or not. I'd get RAEG comments due to me using the "wrong color" but eh. I like the magenta, so sue me.
I'm also still stuck on the hooves vs hands and feet issue. I think hands are needed, but the feet need to stay hooves. ...How to properly draw that is another issue...

I agree with you that the head could be a bit smaller. As for her eyes, I think they should stay closed, it makes it more dramatic. And I personally think that the color is perfect!
I also think that hands should be added, but if you're stuck on her feet, just draw her some shoes and leave the people to there own opinions if they're hooves or feet (I personally think hooves would be best, like you said

I had one flankhole who came out and said to my face in a comment that my tribute to Zecora didn't rhyme. So every response I spoke like Zecora would, and basically trolled the person with love and tolerance

That person even said that he/she didn't know how to rhyme that well, so right there is where I figured out that he/she didn't know wtf he/she was talking about xD

Like it says in the description, it's a work in progress. I'm attempting to come up with more lyrics and eventually put it to music. I kinda had a rap/hip-hip thing in mind, but hard rock may be another possible venue. Or perhaps a union of the two, as cliched as it has become. Ah well, cliched ideas, if done well enough, can become innovative.

I love Vinyl Scratch as well, and she is, in my opinion, the best pony, despite having almost no screen-time. The lyrics are great as well; did you create them yourself or are they from an existing song?

I had it in my head as more rap-ish, but I'm eager to see what SteampunkBrony comes up with. Also, not sure why it was rap in my head... I'm not exactly Eminem. I don't even really LIKE rap...Huh... I need to find some more modern music that I can actually tolerate... I'm a sucker for the oldies. Hmmm... Maybe I can come up with a Rainbow Dash power ballad... *meanders off to brainstorm*

I do not like rap either, but I find lyricism very enjoyable. I was actually in the Pony Swag Megamix. I like rapping, I can rap and even do it fast at times, but I do not enjoy rap music, except for a few artists.

Hehehe. Scratch is such a BAMF [link] . I like to think she enjoys ALL kinds of music, not just rave beats. Rap, Metal, Trance, the whole shebang. I'm itching to do a classy Octavia one, but I have to find the right pose. Cellos (double bass-es?) are hard to draw, as are the arm positions for playing them

Do you have a version of this with a different aspect ratio? My screen is only 1024x768 (4x3), and stuff gets cut off the edges if I try to scale it.

On Windows, the choices are "center", "stretch", and "tile". The only way (that I've figured out) to fit a widescreen desktop background on a 4:3 monitor without distorting is to view the image fullscreen in Windows Slideshow, PrintScreen it, paste it into Paint to remove the black bars, then resave the new size.
In other words, size the image until its width is the same width as your desktop, in pi-nerd's case, 1,024 pixels. Then "center" it.
