Description
This is my horse Starbucks rolling in the dirt. He's not pampered, as you can tell by his messy mane and long coat. He may only be the most beautiful horse in the world when you're looking through my eyes. And he may be 20 years old, but when I look at him I still see that "noble steed" I first met so many years ago.I love my old man.

Edit: I submitted this photo to a photography contest at the San Diego County Fair. I have edited the title and the photo to match what I had submitted. It received an honorable mention, and it was displayed (my only goal when entering).

For horses it's the most beautiful thing to be dirty and rolling in the dirt 
Yesterday we watered a tree on our paddock and then one horse dug in the mud and then it wallowed in this hole of mud

Aww he's so pretty! lol, when I first saw this photo from a distance I thought he was coming out from under ground! Doesn't it kinda look like he's crawling out of the ground? It kinda does if you cover the area under his chin... *wonders if horse is magical*

congrats on the HM at Del Mar! (oh.. sorry.. SD-County Fair now.. lol) -- I lost my mare at 36 years, she was as gorgeous to me then as she was the day I met her. Hope Starbucks is still going strong!

Reminds me of my neighbors horse, though he's not quite as old. He had a tendency to roll in dust or anything else right after he's given a bath or even just a brushing.
He's a beautiful horse, even for his old age. Playful too, which is always refreshing to see in an older animal.

Thanks. Yeah, he gets that straggly look in the winter. He looks so much better during the summer months when his coat is short and there's no rain.

Awesome shot. My horse is 11 years old she still has that wild heart in her and she always does her best. even when she doesnt want to do somthing she still does it. and My first horse before her was a race horse for 4 years thoroughbred race horse he was 20 years old when he died i had him for 2 wonderful years he belong to my friend from grade 1 before she gave me him. he was like Seabiscuit. Kid my old horse was whip for punishment before my friend got him and the other horses disliked him and kicked out at him and even bite him couple of times.

That's what scares me. Plenty of horses die at 20. At least he's not an ex-racer. They seem to die earlier. Though my other horse is and he raced longer than most, 7 years, I guess I'll see how long he lives. He's 15 now. This guy seems to be doing very well. I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon.

thats good my old horse had problems he was bleeding from his nose and mouth when he died.
