Ah, my 1st Usagi Yojimbo art i ever did. This was a few years back in 2007 and boy i really still like it. I played with the sword angle and the dots on his shirt a bit from what Stan Sakai did in the orginal sketch i saw of his.Inks over pencil on 9x12 drawing paper.

Lucked out last year and saw Stan Sakai at the Phoenix Comicon. He was one of the guest speakers for the Anthromorphic Heroes Q&A. Very nice guy, would've loved to have met Sergio as well.

Thanks, i really like the story behind Usagi and how his world is, My 1st time seeing him was on the TMNT 80s/90s cartoon.
Stan Sakai does really nice work, and it seems to always insire me to do Usagi work.

Same here, I like the stories that Stan Sakai writes about, the first time I seen Usagi was the christmas episode of tmnt and no problem

Cool, Once i read the 1st trade of Usagi i was hooked. Stan's art is fun and nicely done.
I forget which season it is from the orginal series i 1st saw him but i did have the figure as well were Usagi is in his armour from what i remeber.

He was only in two episodes in the old series of Tmnt, the first one is when he comes into New York and the other one was a couple of episodes later, when he gets tricked by the Shredder.
After I saw him on tmnt, I did some research and found out he has his own comic series, and I also heard that the comic series were great, I decided to get some of the comic series, I only have the second, third and the forth Usagi Yojimbo books so far and I loved the books, I'm hoping to get more for christmas, it must be awesome to get the figures, and I agree Stan's art is nicely done.

Wow i almost forgot about the Tricked by Shredder Episode, and i even have the series on DVD.
The Usagi Series is fun and always a great read. I have #1-9,11-15,17-18 and Space Usagi. Awesome Series and Amazon has pretty good prices on them as well. If you have a buck or two to spend Stan's Yokai(Spooks) HC is amazing as well were he colored the whole book.
I don't have any orginal TMNT Figures any more as when i moved from Hawaii i give 'em away to friends. But Usagi was replaced years later in my collection with the 2004 TMNT series version.

That's awesome, I just got a few more Usagi Yojimbo books, but we had to return a few since they got damaged, but I was able to keep a few, and no problem, your artwork is awesome

THANKS! it seem to take for ever on all the little dots on the shirt. I need to practice this stuff agian as i've gotten a bit sloppy with my pencils.
