Description Usagi Yojimbo, one of my favs to draw and paint.
This one was a challenge for me as i had to come up with a cool background and to do it all on thick drawing paper with watercolors as i didnt plan on doing watercolors till i had it on display at Lassen College. Paper did ok as long as i didnt soak the paper.

Its done in ink and watercolor on11x14 thick drawing paper, Love Usagi's Pose.

This is up for Auction for the CAPS tribute to Stan Sakai, The proceeds go to help him and his Wife(which she had a stroke), this piece was donated.

Miyamoto Usagi! The Greatest Samurai and well played character. I Love how this came out, the pose and shading blend in together.

Thanks, This was a ink drawing i had done on Drawing paper and looked at it in the display case at my college for awhile and thought it would be sweet to watercolor in a battle. It worked but its was a challange as drawing paper and watercolors arent easyly mixed. But in the end it came out good as you see.
Usagi is a great Samurai cartoon comic and i've be a fan since the early 90's when i was a kid.

Thanks agian and if you time please stop by and check out my other art at my Art Gallery!

Thank you, I really like it, as to how it came out(Japanese style bow).
It started as just Usagi's inks, i wasnt sure what else to do till i started putting watercolors on it then i just let it flow and came up with what you seee here in the finished piece.
The Background is ok but i think it works and Usagi Yojimbo himself is a 'Holy molly, i did this' moment still for me, and thats the 2nd to the last one ive done so far next to the leafy seadragon.
Mahalo and thanks for the comments, they mean alot to me
