Description Acrylic paint and marker pen on board.
My work has always been influenced by artists who use a combination of beauty and horror in their art. My exploration into paintings of teeth and gums began when someone gave me a big box of fake plastic teeth that had been given to her by a dentist. These made me think about the meanings associated with teeth - the artificial beauty of cosmetic dentistry, the fear of a dentists drill, the rotting of teeth that have been badly cared for. This combination of aesthetic beauty and ugliness was the main idea in Green Teeth and Red Teeth.

well you deffinetly nailed the subject matter quite well. I REALLY dig the subdued colors, it gives it that old eerie look but it has the modern abstract feel. i dig it

an interestingly deformed face... the fragmentation (into components of teeth, gum, tongue...) effectively conveys your message on cosmetic surgery... i think it is great
