i wanted to try something 'cool' and commercial. i am, after all, very much affected by commercial photography whether it shows or not. when i met Max, i very soon got this idea, i wanted a black, dark photo done in commercial style and showing very little of the 'product i.e. jeans. i mean that's how ads are these days, they show more skin than clothes, but in any case they sell with sex. so this is kind of a sarcastic statement as well...blackonblack was the brand i came up with... hence the black jeans.
the awesome model is Max, he's an actor and not the first time in front of the camera. now it has also been tested that Canon eos 10D is drool proof
ps.if it looks 'too' dark to you, it's your monitor. esp. LCD's cannot often display the darkest shades well, they just look all black.

Sometimes I really like your work (although sometimes I wonder if the blood is neccessary in some of them.) However so many times i see your stuff and dig it. This looks a lot more commercial than some of your other stuff.. but I really like it.
The model is sexy as the "ad" wpuld be. but more than that the photo is just really nicely balanced. His ksin looks great.

Cool theme. Quite the hottie... I like his jawline and the contrast between the jeans and his skin. Putting the font right where they meet was a good idea. I wonder if anyone has seen this picture and thought "Hm.... I like those jeans," and then gone out and bought black jeans O_o Subliminal message? I'm surprised you didn't make him sweaty, lol. It seems every clothing ad I see now, the models are sweaty or wet or whatever. I'm curious why they would just stand around in 'sexy' clothes, sweating. Couldn't they just wear shorts? But anyway, bit off topic... I like the picture.

i actually really love this photo. its not really your normal dish. i appreciate the darkness for sure, and youre little stab at the ad world is cute. i think its pretty funny that our culture has evolved to the point where a girl can be on her knees with a skirt hiked up, and the ad is for the shoes shes wearing. if people actually stand back and look at how the media is mirroring us, its not a flattering reflection.

ah, this is quite professional looking, and quite sexy as well... your idea is very good, and definitely well thought out...
I love the overall darkness in this, with the dark background, the dark skin, and the dark jeans...it all works well, and the lighting on it is very good as well, shows off the definition..
One way I might like it more was if his head was tilted more upward... or atleast at a different angle, I think that doing that could show more definition in his jaw and neck area... which I think would enhance the shot overall... just a minor critique, but, if I had to change something, that's what I'd change..
