this shot is inspired by one that i saw in a magazine somet time ago. but it was a food article and the girl was tasting chocolate. i first thought i'd go with chocolate as well, and there would've been a fun twist when everyone expects it to be blood. but i'm boring and so i wen't with my typical thing... and i gotta say i like it.i wanted a smile that would give a hint of the pleasure she gets from tasting that fresh and warm blood. or maybe it's also pleasure from what she just did? and wonder what that might be?
the blood is partly coagulated hence the darker spots in it etc. (blood's natural behavior) i use fakeblood that i buy from a theatre supply store.
the born-to-be-model is Riikka.

Well, I do too, and wish that I could take photos with blood in them, but I have no idea how to make it or where to buy fake blood.
Anyway, love this one. I like most of your photos. The torture one kinda scared me though. I really can't stand any kind of torture (looking at it, hearing, etc.)

Some people have strange taste in art.
On the other hand the rest of us know what we like. This is absolutly beautiful. The model is georgeous her expression is perfect. The shot is great. I think this is my favorite in your gallery so far besides 'Grand Piano'. Well Done!

But, a karo syrup/red food coloring/non dairy creamer mix would be a lot cheaper for blood would ...and taste better.
Love your work, blood is good, as long as it's artful. Ignore anyone who says different.

I don't know... there is something very off about this model and blood. I suppose it's because of the stereotypical. You expect to see pale people enjoying blood... this girl is so tan. And she just looks so... I don't know... healthy.

love the slight smile and the look in her eyes... dangerous...
my first instinct was 'did she bite someone? should there be more blood on her mouth/chin?'... but a little blood, like this, gives a completely different character to her... more psychotic, more planned, less impassioned (if that's possible!), less feral... an interesting blend.
