...for a taste of eternity-Moonspell
those words have haunted me for years. glad to find a place where to 'place' them.
what did i do to this?
-PINS are for real, i glued them on her face. now that was fun and took a couple of hours :\ the ones on the head are glued on to a thin wire.
-i put nail extensions on her nails, and added polish obviously.
-tongue is heavily manipulated. and the tip of it with the barbel is mine actually.
-1 teeth enlargened
-eyes made bigger. a lot *ahem*
-red of the hair emphasized.
-red eyes done in layers
+overall levels etc. adjustments
why the hell am i tellin this?? uh, i dunno. also, i'm not sure if i'm completely happy with it. i don't mean that i'd like to manip her face more, or make it gory/unrealistic, i like the balance between real/unreal this way, but the background...as much as i like simplicity, well, it might require something.
she is Anna, a brave, beautiful model and a good poser, photographers dream

i love the fact that you explained your shot..i wish more people would do that with their art!! and also... very interestin shot... i almost wished that the hand was in focus... but then there's no depth of field.. i still really like thisone

This is very interesting...but yes, perhaps some dark/greyed out imposing edifice that she might be drawing us toward...
maybe 2 layers for focus on her hand along with her face but the bg is blurred. I dunno...
but I love it!

Wow! The work you did on the tounge is excellent. Looks very real, which makes it even more freaky. Also the shot itself is wonderful. I love the closeup of the hand and the pins are also a great touch.

This is a fantastic picture... really amazing, sexy in a kinda scary way. The physical work you put in, especially on the pins, is up to your usual rediculous perfectionist standard. But your manipulation work is seamless as well. I have one nitpick on the tongue... if you look long the bottom edge, it looks a bit bumpy from the joins, which could have been smoothed with the airbrush a but. But that is the kind of tiny detail that only someone like me would go searching for.
It's just an amazing picture, and fantastic work. I'd love to see more of this kind of work, combining the makeup work and manipulation, in the future from you.

first, her stitching workshop didnt work out so well, then she tried the sewing machine and somehow caught her tongue in it, now she's standing there saying "if i ever see a sewing machine again i swear..."

I think this is a really nice idea.. but there's something about it that doesn't work for me. My opinion only... I think the hands would be more dramatic if they were in focuse with the girl in focus as well.. What was your apperture? I also would like the nails more if they were red, with maybe red lips.. something about the maroon shirt and her hair color don't mesh.
I would love a close up of her face...hope you got one.
