A child is never responsible for abuse!!! I know exactly why people would make the ones who are abused feel guilty. There are several reasons:
1) They have no clue what child abuse is about.
2) They are enabling child abuse.
3) They are abusers themselves.
Abusers divide and conquer and pit people against each other. They are deceive in all their ways and betrayers, and they will do whatever it takes to stay out of prison or a worse punishment. For far to long we have been making excuses for the abusers of this world. Look at Western style slavery - institutional child abuse. Once a person knows what child abuse is really about there should be no fence sitting. Sitting on the fence watching children be abused. Horrible!

Actually, you're a variety of materials, mainly (but not only) including Carbon, Oxygen, Iron, and Hydrogen.

Shit can be made of similar things. Therefore, yes, you are.

And why would people make you feel guilty for being abused? It makes no sense. The collective IQ of humanity was already plunging, but having heard of this, sets it back about a few million points.

I don't quite realize how/why people would choose to make you feel guilty. Or is it discussion taking a wrongful turn and people displaying things they don't actually think? I really can't understand why any of it could be your fault. It's sad that this loneliness brings only more loneliness.

It seems like often the wrong people will always find ways to disguise the abuse you have been through as some fault of your own in hopes they that might disguise all the abuse they have inflicted.

This is an exceptional painting. The entire piece speaks volumes from the delicate, folded body to the incredibly emotional face.

I love the lighting in this piece, it gives a feeling of being cornered in a very metaphorical sense, a feeling which often can accompany such negativity (to put it very lightly) as abuse.

The colours are perfect and I love that you gave the figure a simple form of nudity which certainly gives the feeling of being peeled raw and exposed, left to rot in your own thoughts and fears.

That face is incredible as I said, I love the creases in the brow and the pained eyes. Staring at it long enough could easily make me cry.

Beautiful job to you as an artist and for speaking through art and words on this topic. Sometimes as artists I think we do not use much more than just our work to express emotion but, though much work is beautifully left to interpretation, I think your describing a tidbit about your feelings here actually does wonders for the subject matter and could certainly speak volumes to others who have suffered similarly.

Your work really speaks to me. My mother went through a really hard time when I was a young teenager, and I still feel guilty for this day for not being able to do more to help her. She's recovered a lot now, but it's still hard to accept that I was powerless in my situation.

Wow. I dunno what to say. I'm a victim of a serious fucked up childhood too. Wish I could say I understand what you're going through... but to be honest... it looks like you've endured more than I could ever imagine. Still, you have exceptional talent... talent that other people would willingly trade places with you to have, so I hope it gives you some strength knowing that there are probably a couple thousand people or more who wish they were you right now.
