That's nice! I haven't ever tried a cord binding. Is it any stiffer than coptic, or still sort of wiggly? Haven't tried headbands yet, either, but I've been looking at some methods. I'll probably give that a shot next time I bind something.

Thank you!
I have never done a coptic bind, so I can't compare it. But it doesn't lie flat when you open it, it always tries to shut again.
I want to learn how to sew headbands on. It just looks soo elegant, but I bet it takes a lot of patience and practice.

This is really beautiful, and clearly shows the care that went into the project. It seems to me it would be impossible to hide any mistakes or sloppy places in a book where everything is exposed like this. Great work!

Oh wow, thank you so much! I'm so happy right now, this is awesome! I've had a crappy week, but this cheers me up right away!
I looked at the other art you featured, and it's great. I'm honoured to be included.

Wow! This is beautiful. What sort of binding have you done to have the cords bare like that?

Thanks! (:
I used the kettle stitch (here's a tutorial: [link] ), but instead of having two holes on either side like you would with flat tape, I had only one per cord, so the thread goes out of the hole, loops around the cord and goes back into the same hole. Other than that the binding is the same. Then, instead of glueing the cords down on the endpapers/flyleaves, I left them loose and attached them to the cover boards.

Ok, so this is cool. I love the simplicity and the exposure of the cord and Headbands
Great Job!
