Description 1914
Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife are killed by a Lycan assassin posing as a Serbian nationalist, resulting in Austria-Hungary’s declaration of war against Serbia. The First Ones receive a vision of the future predicting that the conflict will result in two catastrophic wars which will engulf the entire world. Militant and Isolationist debates resume among the Amazons, with the majority of the population preferring to remain hidden in peaceful isolation. General Melousa organises a volunteer military academy attended by fewer than a dozen Amazon warriors.

1916

As ‘the Great War’ unfolds and casualties mount around the world, the Amazons grow increasingly concerned that Mankind will discover the mystical gateway that leads to the Amazon Isles. More and more Amazons join General Melousa’s training academy to hone their battle skills.

1918
The Great War comes to an end. Despite the onset of apparent peace in the World of Man, the First Ones prophecy is looking increasingly more likely to become fact, and in preparation for the second war they fear is only a short time away, attendance at General Melousa’s training academy continues to swell, peaking at over three quarters of the Amazon population.

1939
The second World War begins. The First Ones receive a vision of the future that predicts Mankind’s inevitable invention and use of the Hydrogen Bomb. The Militant faction among the Amazons demand to enter the war, but the First Ones urge caution, predicting that a full scale Amazon assault on the World of Man will result in only greater casualties, and the eventual, total destruction of the Amazon Isles and culture. The First Ones, Queen Hippolyta, and the Amazon Council of Senators, Generals and Priestesses all assemble to discuss possible courses of action.

1942
The First Ones authorise Queen Hippolyta to conduct a series of tournaments, to determine which Champions are ‘most worthy’ of representing the Amazons as ambassadors to the World of Man. As the Amazons most skilled war archer, Chryseis is favoured to win the Archery Tournament, but in the course of the final melee Pyrrah is gravely injured. Chryseis immediately withdraws from the tournament, Pyrrah succumbs to her injuries, and the Archery contest is ultimately deemed a complete failure.

1943
Confined to the Amazon Isles and mourning her beloved, Chryseis grows to despise the First Ones, blaming them for Pyrrah’s death. With her betrothed, Lykopis, off fighting in the war, Aella attempts to court Chryseis, but this only angers her further.
Eventually, she breaks into the Amazons relic depository and steals the Light Rings intended for the Champion Archer, fleeing the Amazon Isles. Blaming the Tournaments and the First Ones for the death of her beloved, Chryseis begins relentlessly hunting the other Amazon Champions in the World of Man.

1944
With the Amazon Champions removed from the World of Man, Chryseis officially joins the war, on the side of the Axis. Having heard tell of their leader, and his obsession with the occult and arcane, she bestows upon him the tokens of the defeated Champions, and pledges herself to his service.
Chryseis oversees the Axis efforts to recruit and create a new generation of Champions, giving the tokens to especially skilled and ruthless soldiers and commanders of the Axis forces, and aiding in the brainwashing of Lykopis, the only surviving Champion of Themiscyra.
Placing little value on the lives of men, Chryseis quickly gains a reputation as a ruthless military strategist, and her willingness to achieve victory at any cost puts her in good standing with the Fuhrer. With her elite team of mystically-powered supersoldiers at the head of the Axis defence, the Allied efforts to land troops in Normandy are easily repelled, resulting in a huge loss of life and a crushing strategic defeat for the Allies.
With Chryseis playing such a crucial role in their armies, male attitudes towards women shift drastically. There are some voices calling for her to replace the Fuhrer. Wartime propaganda in Germany portrays her as a symbol of strength, victory and loyalty, completely ignoring her total disregard for the lives of soldiers serving beneath her.
Posters of the Axis Arrow soon decorate every street in Axis-occupied territories.

1945
Inspired by Chryseis’ tales of the prophecies of the First One, Axis scientists are spurred on to complete work on the Hydrogen Bomb. World War II ends with its foretold deployment, first in New York City and then in Washington D.C., ultimately forcing the remaining US forces to surrender unconditionally.
In spite of the Axis victory, Adolf Hitler grows increasingly paranoid under pressures from all sides to acknowledge Chryseis as the true hero of the German people. He ultimately takes his own life, and Chryseis is the German people’s favourite candidate to replace him.

1946
Following her appointment as the new leader of the Axis Powers – now opposed only by the Soviet States – Chryseis reaches out to Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin and proposes negotiations for peace between the two factions. Stalin agrees to meet, but the negotiations prove to be a trap; Chryseis and Lykopis slay the assembled Soviet heads of state, and the Soviet military falls into disarray. Axis forces march into Moscow and Beijing, quickly subduing any resistance.

1950
Chryseis leads the assembled forces of the World of Man to the Amazon Isles. The Amazons, woefully under-equipped and unprepared to combat soldiers armed with machine guns and briefed on their tactics, are slaughtered. An infant female child is placed in a boat by her mother and cast out to sea in an effort to save the child. Chryseis personally murders all but one of the First Ones, bringing Thraso, the last survivor, back to her offices in Berlin.
While she is leading the assault on the Amazon Isles, the Lord of Lycans leads a force of his people, disguised as Chinese, Soviet and North Korean soldiers, into South Korea, instigating the Korean war, in an effort to undermine the authority of the new Fuhrer.

1961
The Fuhrer champions women’s rights across the globe, much to the ire of the mostly-male world leaders. Despite her civil rights policies being made law, most local authorities are reluctant to enforce them, and very little actually changes. With the elation of her wartime victories wearing thin, and her apparent inability to change the world, people begin to question the competence of their immortal leader.
Chryseis travels to Washington to address the US Congress, in an effort to allay their concerns, but this is a trap. Surrounded and ambushed, the majority of her Champions are either killed or captured, and Chryseis herself seemingly vanishes from the face of the Earth.

1962
With Chryseis successfully ousted from power, the Axis union quickly breaks apart. Though the majority of the globe remains affiliated, legislative government is largely devolved back to individual countries.

1963

As the Women’s Liberation Movement increases in popularity and influence, the United States of America elect Jaqueline Kennedy as their first female President, following the assassination of her husband. In her inauguration speech, she thanks Chryseis for her role in the genesis of the equality movement.
The charismatic new leader of a post-Axis Germany, the Lord of Lycans founds the Soldiers of Purity, an organisation secretly dedicated to ‘restoring the natural order by putting women back in their proper place’. While their public face is that of a people’s militia, training the populace to counter any terrorist threats, many correctly suspect their true motives are something far more sinister.

1972
Chryseis returns to the world, and immediately swears her eternal loyalty to the Lord of Lycans. Unbeknownst to the world, the Coup nine years prior was a ruse to cover the Lord of Lycans abduction of her. Following nine years of near constant pheromones and hypnosis, her will is broken completely, and she serves as the ultimate symbol of his status as the world's dominant Alpha Male.
The Axis Arrow became the figurehead of the Soldiers of Purity, and this works to greatly ease the concerns of those in opposition to the group. Many women begin to flock to the Soldiers of Purity’s ‘education programs’ and the Lord of Lycans influence grows across the world. With the last of the Amazons as his obedient slave, and most of the world subjugated under his hypnotic control, his victory appears absolute. There are, quite simply, none left to stand against him.

1988
Many years after the Axis Arrow's assault on Themiscyra, the child sent away slips through the mystical barriers surrounding the Amazon Isles, and washes up on the shores of the tiny Brazilian fishing village Arraial de Cabo. The baby, starving and barely alive, is taken in by a kind but poor Brazilian woman, Maria Luiza Vergara.  She names the baby Denisa and nourishes her back to health; as no ones comes forth to claim the baby, Maria Luiza raises the baby as her own.

1992-2004
Denisa attends the small school near her home in Arraial de Cabo.  She grows into a strong and healthy young woman, learning English as well as Portuguese.  It becomes clear as she enters her teens that there is something different about her; her features are different and more striking than the rest of her female classmates, and she is much stronger, faster, and more coordinated than any of her classmates, boys included.

2005

Denisa turns 18.  Maria Luiza tells her the story of how she found her as an infant, washed ashore on a boat all alone.  The story confirms what Denisa had felt for years - that she belonged somewhere else, that she came from somewhere else.  With her mother's blessing, Denisa sets off to travel the world in search of her destiny.

2005-2008
As Denisa traveled the world, she soon realized that it wasn't just Arraial de Cabo where she stuck out as different.  Everywhere she went, she was stronger and faster than anyone else she came into contact with.  Her travels eventually brought her back to Brazil in 2008 as she was invited to be a a part of the 2008 track and field team for that year's Summer Olympics.  She won the gold medal for Brazil in the modern pentathlon, shattering the previous record in the process.
At the closing ceremony, she and the other gold medalists are invited to a private meeting with the Axis Arrow.
Denisa reluctantly accepts.
The meeting turns out to be an 'invitation' for the Olympians to join the Soldiers of Purity as a part of the Axis Arrow's elite strike force. Denisa is the only one to refuse the offer. Although they exchange very few words, Chryseis recognises something in Denisa, and the potential to become something much greater. She feels something she has not felt for almost fifty years: hope.

Hey folks!
So, it's that time again! Our Arrowverse Crossover Homage of 2017 comes courtesy of PolManning  , based off an idea given to me by amazonarrow  when we were brainstorming elseworlds stories for her character. The idea didn't quite fit the universe I was going for, but it was too good for me to just abandon, and then huzzah, the CW announced that the big crossover event for their superhero shows this year would centre around our heroes battling evil versions of themselves, from a dark alternate timeline where the Nazis won WWII.
(if I've done my maths right, the episodes should be on TV in the states any minute now...)

For some reason, the idea of an Axis Arrow propaganda poster really stuck in my head, and Pol was up for drawing it on some pretty short notice, and everything turned out awesome!
For the timeline, I tried to stay as true to Chrysies' original as possible, and incorporated a good chunk of Curia-DD 's timeline towards the end. Most of the dates of significant events roughly correlate, even if our central character is on the complete opposite side of history.
And, hey, you didn't expect me, a Jew, to build a universe where Nazis rule the earth, and not leave it open to the distinct possibility of an uprising, did ya?

DISCLAIMER: Nazis are bad. This is not an endorsement of Nazis, Nazism, or any kind of racial agenda of any variety. This is purely a speculative work of alternate history, where events conspired to turn one of the world's champions for liberty, justice and equality into a tyrannical force of subjugation and oppression.

I always have wondered how those guys pretended to pass as the good guys while wearing skulls and other scary stuff in their outfits? they couldn't have been more evident about their true intentions even if they wanted to!

Amazing amount of detail you put into this...bravo! (I LOVE an author who does some first class world building before they embark on a new tale...so kudos to both you and ).

But truth be told, you had me with the word "submission."

I look forward to the multi-versal adventures of Denisa!

Unfortunately, this was kinda all I had planned for this. Sowwy.
And, hey, credit to amazonarrow too! The timeline is mostly the work of her and Curia, I just tweaked a few events. And the whole thing was AA's idea anyway.
And PolManning ! The design for the poster was all him. Literally my only input there was changing the name to Axis Arrow for the alternate timeline

That's a well deserved favourite for a quite chillingly plausible alternate timeline.

I wasn't aware that you were Jewish, but you have my complete and utter respect for going ahead and writing this regardless, particularly with the glimmer of hope in the ending.

Great idea.  I like the poster and the timeline.

Sidenote: Why is it we have to state clearly and unequivocally what should be self-evident regarding the members of a failed hate group from 75 years ago?  The only two good things about them were:
1) They failed.
2) Those incredibly snazzy uniforms.  When you hire one of the best fashion designers in the world to make your elite uniforms, you get your moneys worth.

Evil scumbags, but they looked sharp.  Right up until our boys put bullets through them.  Go Allies!

Eh. Just covering all my bases, making sure nobody can try to twist this into 'look, Internet Police, she's supporting Nazism!'

I mean... The Nazis did many, many horrible things to the world, but losing isn't one of them.
Hell, losing was one of very few things they did that actually helped people.
Don't hate Nazis because they're losers, hate Nazis because they're Nazis.

They did have astonishingly good fashion, though.
Even if a part of their designers probably knew they were the baddies. Allies are covered in stars and eagles and other cool, hopeful, heroic things, Nazis are decked out in skulls and junk...

You know, with the way you're portraying amazonarrow earlier on in this parallel universe, I would have thought that SHE would have been the one to kill Hitler and immediately take his place.

How the hell did you make it seem like the Nazis were the good guys by the end of this? I know that wasn't your point and you put a disclaimer in it, but you made them out to be feminist (real ones and not the female supremacists that most of them seem to be) and unified the world under one banner! (more or less) That's not bad! That's good!
and what about the Holocaust? did amazonarrow sweep it under the rug before anyone found out about it or something? You cant have a WWII themed story (non war documentary) and not include that in some way.

Grogar-the-oneser In reply to DarkHeroineCorruptor [2017-11-28 08:41:07 +0000 UTC]

What he getting at is, chryseis did all the work and the only reason why the nazi even did the feminist was cause she force them to and they purposely kept her in the dark about the halocaust.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

SvettaK92 In reply to DarkHeroineCorruptor [2017-11-28 07:26:19 +0000 UTC]

Chryseis herself didn't buy into the whole Nazi philosophy or anything. For her, they were a means to an end. She just wanted to punish the Amazons, and didn't care how she did it.
The world was united under one banner, yes, but it was a banner that was mostly horrible for everybody. She personally did a lot for feminism, but her government didn't back her up on that.
You assume she knew about the Holocaust?
