Anyone else love that game? Because I do QwQSo have a Heart stylized to look a little Okami-like, I hope you like!
(man, he reminds me of Issun now that I mention it. Tiny, adorable and very furious)

You really should!! QwQ You play as a wolf goddess - Amaterasu and you have to
help people, fight enemies, in general bring happiness to others and defeat the evil. It has
amazing graphics and is in general a beautiful game, there's also a lot of attention to detail.
Also it's reeeeeaaally long and can be hard to beat so it's challenging but I think it makes you feel more connected to it, it's just awesome.
(plus, it's very hilarious sometimes, 11/10 would reccommend)

Okami is such a beautiful game. I remember I would just run around in the game and have the camera slowly rotate around Amateratsu just so I could see the grass and flowers bloom. I also got in trouble for playing that game way too much with my parents.
Congrats on the 2K on YouTube, by the way! You're freakishly talented and I hope those subscribers keep coming in.

Aaaa, I did exactly the same thing! ;o; And I also got in trouble with parents because of Okami xD In fact, the first time I stayed up really late was because I was playing it and got to a very important moment. 11 year old rebel me, good times.

I think it was somewhere near the... that scary ship, I have no idea what that place was called xP
I was really bad at english when I was playing Okami for the first time so I mostly remember the scenes, not names or quotes :'P
I got it because my dad found a game with a wolf and I've always wanted to play a game in which I could be a canine, so I didn't care if I didn't understand more then half of it xD

Don't worry. As much as I loved the game, I completely forgot the names of pretty much all the places. And since the game is located in Japan (or Nippon as they called it), all of the locations have Japanese names. It's just spelled in romaji (Japanese spelled with the English alphabet) so us English speaking folk can at least read it.
And what? How in the world did you beat that game without understanding more than half the game? I can see you getting through the dungeons, but Okami has a lot of people it requires you to meet and do things for them. Dang it, Shady. You're an English genius.
I won't deny the awesomeness of being the sun god in wolf form. Maybe you should try playing Twilight Princess, too. Link, the protagonist, also spends a lot of the game as a wolf so that might be fun for you if you have a GameCube or Wii.

I just knew a couple of important words (ex. map, go, meet, fight, draw etc.)
so it wasn't that hard xD I'm just kind of sad that I didn't understand some funny quotes but other then that it
was beatable and very fun to play even with my language level.
My Wii is unfortunately somewhere in my old house and some games won't work on it :/

I don't deny the beauty of the Japanese language. I just acknowledge that I don't have the best memory when it comes to Japanese words. XD
I'm sure your English is much better now. Maybe you can go beat the game again and get all the funny quotes this time! Well, at least when you can get your Wii again.
I guess your question has two parts, so I'll answer which games I would recommend first.
Zelda (Any of the Console Games) - I would recommend this because the gameplay is very similar to Okami. You go through dungeons, solve puzzles, beat enemies using strategy, do small quests for people sometimes, etc. The only one where you can be an animal part of the time is Twilight Princess, but I have pretty much enjoyed all the console Zelda games so far. For the Wii, you can play Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and Windwaker (Gamecube game but it's backwards compatible).
Oops. I guess I ran out already. I guess I just don't know a lot of games that match those criteria. Do you have anything else you like when it comes to games?
As for games I like, I'm not sure I can pick categories. I like games with really fun gameplay and characters I get attached to. If I have to pick one or the other, it has to be gameplay because no amount of good storytelling and great characters can make up for really, really awful controls or boring, tedious action. So it's kind of all over the place when it comes to genres. (Also, sorry for the list of so many games.)
Assassin's Creed II - You are a parkour ninja leaping all over the city and performing sneaky assasinations. Gameplay's fun, story's not.
Alice:Madness Returns - So this is a gorgeously designed game with some fun but repetitive combat and platforming. The dialogue and story are really good as well. Oh, and there's blood everywhere and disturbing imagery so it's not for the faint of heart.
Portal II - A puzzle game where you have to solve puzzles and progress through the level with only a device that makes portals. Great puzzles, great dialogue, great story.
BattleBlock Theater/Castle Crashers - Very fun co-op gaming. The Behemoth, the game studio who made these games, makes very fun side-scrolling games that are a blast to play with some friends online. The humor can be crass and immature, but the gameplay more than makes up for it.
The Walking Dead/The Wolf Among Us/Tales from the Borderlands - Telltale Games makes some of the best games I know of. The game is all about immersing you in the story and getting really attached to these characters. Even the gameplay is designed with this purpose in mind. However, these might not be good because you have a limited amount of time to make dialogue choices. Then again, that might be great English practice. As for warnings, The Walking Dead has zombies and blood and gore, The Wolf among Us has nudity (think prostitutes and whorehouses), and Tales from the Borderlands has crass humor. My favorite of the 3 games has to be Tales from the Borderlands because it just makes me laugh so hard for every episode that comes out.
There are more games I like, but I think I should stop here because this comment's long enough as it is. X'D

Buuut I would totally recommend trying to beat it some more times, the story gets better after the fish guy that's something I DO remember xD

It's similar to the first game but the graphics aren't as good.
But you get to go through the same maps in the game and it's really cool!!

what's cool about the game is that throughout the game you get new companions that all have different abilities :0
