Akane is a very ambitious girl however because she is timid, she often times lacks a lot of initiative. She's almost always indecisive over big decisions and is generally hesitant to do things on her own. She typically takes most situations with a smile and very neutral with most things, however, it's mostly because she doesn't have a whole lot that she's completely driven for and takes things with a 'my pace' approach. Akane can be a bit of a crybaby at times and her eyes start to water when she gets frustrated at herself or when things get too hard. She's somewhat weak willed and lacks confidence but is determined to gradually push herself to fight her fears and insecurities in order to become an independent and reliable role model someday. Despite her meek personality, she isn't a dunce and knows that it's a charm point and because she's young, there will be times she'll try and pout her way out of unfavorable situations. Past Akane's shy demeanor, she is playful and doting around those she's comfortable with. Though she may seem reserved and passive, the times when she does speak out, she can seem frank and blunt at times. However, when these occurrences happen, she will almost always apologize for speaking her mind. But when Akane does find something she feels very strongly about, she can be as stubborn as an ox and very pushy.

Background:
Akane's the youngest out of three other siblings. Her father left the family before she was actually born but she was never bothered by the lack of his presence in the family. As a child, she was always babied and spoiled by both her mother and siblings profusely. Being a sheltered child, of course her older siblings were the damaged goods in the process. All of them hated their father but wanted Akane to thrive. Unfortunately The Rot hit Akane hard. She was near death countless of times and her body isn't even mostly human anymore.

As a result, Akane has lost senses of her emotions and feelings when prosthetics and nanobots were installed to her body. As much as her siblings really tried to save their sister, they ultimately couldn't save "her". But because of this, Akane has tried to pick up her weight by gearing herself to be a suitable applicant for any sort of military academy. She wanted to prove she was still strong, that she was still their sister that they wanted to make stronger.

And she got there. She became stronger. She even joined the police force her bother was in. It was fine, it was good. Perhaps too good?

It's always too good to be true. Emotions got the better of her (once again), who can blame her when you're constantly tightroping and backflipping with death? Not fully realizing her true potential, Akane succumbs to the thought of what she thinks is her labeled expiration date. Was everything she fought for for not?

There was so much inner conflict. She knew she shouldn't give up not only for herself but for the people who've continuously supported her. It's okay, right? It shouldn't be bad, right?

It's hard.

It's definitely hard.

How are you supposed to feel anything at all when you're technically not even human?
