Inspiration for this came about after the vast number of responses on the "How Sokka Saw It" comic, and discussions with a number of people (especially ).
It's also inspired by this piece: [link]
As for the art itself...proportions? Consistency? What are those?
Of course, since it's a comic, I slacked off on a lot of things; but each panel actually makes me happy in a way. Panel one? Sokka's brush. Panel two? Sokka is HORRIBLE, but I actually really like how the dialogue played out...
Panel three took some reference, but I love the pose.
Panel four...I originally wanted Zuko standing beside her, but then I decided to "simplify, simplify," and just put Mai in. I also opted against the original stoic look to have the more amusing (and much cuter) apologetic smile and shrug.
Finished because a lot of people wanted to see this, and I also had all but the last panel drawn up...
