Description Second commissioned logo for Michele Rain of BWGArt/Bohemian Woodlands Gallery, Inc., to be woodburned onto her "Griffin Box": bwgart.com/index.php?main=800 (Sepia filter digitally applied.) The first logo (which I liked best of the two) may be seen here: swandog.deviantart.com/art/Gri… and both gryphons were adapted from an old linocut I did: swandog.deviantart.com/art/Fir…

Note: I and Michele Rain/BWGArt own the copyright to this logo, and use by any others for profit or personal endeavors is strictly NOT allowed.

It's lovely, but like you I am a little more partial to the one with the open beak and book between its talons...

Lovely! Btw, I read the article in Dagbladet. I actually just spotted the front page and though "I have to read this one".

Yep, after Sayh answered your question there about "what furry is", he saw your name and said, "Hey, wait a minute! That that guy IS a furry!"

Making the article in Dagbladet a bit wrong, because I live in Mandal which make me the southest furry in the country
But I have sometimes wondered about the question "what furry is" because of different statements in forums and other internet articles.

(this is Sayh) Det finnes ingen definisjon av "hva er furry", furry er hva du selv gjør furry til.

Just wondering, why don't you watermark your art or upload a lower-quality version?

swandog In reply to meihua [2010-03-23 12:57:22 +0000 UTC]

Because I generally dislike ugly watermarks, and don't add them unless theft becomes a problem. But adding the sepia filter means they can't easily just crop out the copyright info at the bottom without ruining the image.

I like the forelegs and softer musculature on this version, though I do like the strong expression on the other. So hard to choose.

*nods* I guess I just prefer the pissed-off, hackle-raised, "Rar!" look of the other, hehe.

It's a creature associated with strength, so that makes sense.
Maybe I'm just a fan of how your creatures can look unusual but so soft and gentle. This is an interesting and very slight deviation.
