I had advanced figure drawing last fall semester and I've had all these cool charcoal drawings in my sketch book that never got posted so I thought I'd oblige myself.Here's the old monochromatic one I did: [link]

Jack's got this look on his face like "eeeuuuuuw get away from me, your breath stinks"
Barbossa's face is the most hilarious, well-shaded thing I've ever SEEN. LOOKIT THOSE EYES! HUGE, CRAZY EYES! GIANT, CRAZY CRAZY HAT!
Love it.
Even the CLOTH on Barbossa's shoulder is shaded nicely!
Durn, still can't obsess over any more foreheads, they're all covered up like Derek's headband has become all the rage.

This kind of has a cartoony feel to it, doesn't it? I like it, but the lines (especially around the eyes) are a tad too distinct. Shading's great, though, it's really dynamic. You only used only three colors, right? How do you do that with only three colors... o.o

I loved that, it was awesome. Although apparently she has quasi-revenge in the after-credits scene (which I didn't stay for).
But seriously, the whole time I was thinking about how I'd read better fan-made characters than Angelica. Oh well, not every character can be a winner, especially not when Barbossa and Jack are around
