Is it weird I have a whole freaking THEORY on how old Jack is?
Jack is 25 in Price of Freedom, and that's when the Wicked Wench (later the Black Pearl) is sunk. Also when he met Davy Jones for the first time, and made the 13-years-with-my-ship-for-a-100-years-on-yours deal, resulting in him being 37 during Curse of the Black Pearl and 38 during Dead Man's Chest. One year in the Locker makes him 39 during At World's End, and I'm guessing it's about a year between AWE and On Stranger Tides, making him about 40 years old where the series left off.
So yes, he is old enough to be Will's father. Bootstrap is a few years older than Jack is. There is also the POSSIBILITY that Arabella whats-her-name (from the Young Jack Sparrow series) is Will's mother.

we did a sort of quick scan and my friend was eating microwaved pizza that tasted pretty good. technically all we read were the PotC cartoons, but that is still a heck of a lot of material.
